Charles Batts

Mr. Charles Batts, 72, of  511 Lodge Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on August 17, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Brown Chapel FWB Church, 1507 Hadley Street SE, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. 

Preceding him in death are: his daughter, Kisha Barron; his parents, Essie Mae Savage Batts and George Batts; three brothers, Bobby Batts, Ricky Hartfield, Edward Batts, Thomas Batts and Richard Conyer; one sister, Elizabeth Batts; his grandmother, Lena Savage.

Charles is survived by: his wife, Yvonne Batts; one daughter, Latoya Jones; one son, Jo Manto Joyner; one granddaughter; three great grandchildren; five sisters, Deloris Hunt (Kenny) of Wilson, NC, Janet Allen of White Plains, NY, Florecia Savage of Pensacola, FL, Felicia Savage of Englewood, NJ and Linda Batts of NY; three brothers, George Batts, Jr., Lester Hartfield (Pam) and Danny Savage (Kimberly); one aunt, Mary Hagans of Wilson, NC; five sisters-in-law, Pearl McCarthy, Carolyn McClain, Gwendolyn Henderson, Sybil Hartfield and Patricia Conyer; one brother-in-law, James Purdie (Donna) and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
