Calvin Rountree, Jr.

Mr. Calvin Rountree, Jr., 83, of 2000 Fieldcrest Road, Wilson, NC, passed away on October 21, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00  pm also at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Rountree was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie Mae Rountree; one son, Leroy Rountree; parents, Calvin Rountree, Sr. and Lizzie Horne Rountree; five sisters, Viola Williams, Lossie Barnes, Martha Bell, Suretha Rountree and Rosa Lee Rountree; two brothers, Maurice Rountree and Jimmy Rountree.

He leaves many cherished memories to: four sons, Eddie Rountree of Stantonsburg, NC, Robert Rountree (Nancy) of Wilson, NC, Donnie Rountree of the home and Rodriekiaus Wyl Dickens of Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Geraldine Rountree Cooper (Steve) of Wendell. NC;  NC twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Linda Rountree of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Annie Mae Vaughn and Doris Rountree both of Wilson, NC; one brother, Willie B. Rountree of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, two special friends, Bruce Faison and Darryle Jones.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
