Blanche Sherrod Horne

Ms. Blanche Sherrod Horne, 91, of Wilson, NC,passed away on July 30, 2019 at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 :00 am Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Reverend Bennie Smith, Jr.  will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Sherrod Family Cemetery, 399 Watery Branch Church Road, Stantonsburg, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Horne was preceded in death by: her husband, Lacey C. Horne; parents, Arthur D. Sherrod and Effie Diggs Sherrod; brothers, Edgar, Reginald, Royal, Selbery, Kemmy and Johnnie and one sister, Hula.

She leaves cherished memories to: one brother, Herbert Douglas Sherrod of Stantonsburg, NC; nephews, Billy Exum (Maxine), Donavon Sherrod, Morris Worelds, Leon C. Sherrod, Dennis O. Sherrod, Herbert D. Sherrod and Cedric Yelverton; nieces, Gloria Exum, JudyGreen (Howard), Nona Fuller, Brenda Smith (Bennie), Cheryl Pope (Charles) Sheila Mitchell (Reggie), Jolette McCoy (Esquire), Tekelah Sherrod (Kevin), Belinda Ward (Kendall) and Pamela Sherrod; a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
