Barbara Ann Harris Vick

Mrs. Barbara Ann Harris Vick, 80, of 100 Pine Court, Goldsboro, NC passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, Goldsboro, NC.  The funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 12 noon at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash Street, Goldsboro, NC.  Bishop Alton Smith will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Vick was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Harris, Sr. and Mary Alice Jones Harris and one brother, David Staton.

She leaves many loving and cherished memories to:  her husband, John Rufus Vick of the home; one son, Derrick L. Vick and wife, Kristen, of Spring, TX; one daughter, Tracey V. Battle of Goldsboro, NC; four grandchildren, Shanice R. Vick and Carson M. Vick, both of Spring, TX, Kiana T. Vick of Loranger, LA and Victor R. Battle, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC; three great grandchildren, Armani J. Francis of Spring, TX, Aderian T. Armstrong and Rhiyan E. Armstrong, both of Loranger, LA; three sisters, Margaret Harris of Goldsboro, NC, Jeanette Garner of Wendell, NC and Dorothy McMillon of Middlesex, NC; three brothers, Leroy Harris, Jr. and wife, Linda, of Wilson, NC, Roy Harris and Albert Harris and wife, Elma, both of Middlesex, NC; her sister-in-law, Cynthia Vick of Wilson; god-sons, Derrick M. Jones and William B. McIntyre, both of Goldsboro, NC; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Joyner and husband, Junior, of Elm City, NC and Betty Jean Neals of Washington, DC; two brothers-in-law, Earl Vick of Rocky Mount, NC and Leroy Vick of Tampa, FL; special friends, Ida Pearl Armstrong, Rebecca "Sis" Harris, Beverly Harris and Shirley Kee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The public viewing will be Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 3:00 To 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. for an inspirational wake.  A public viewing will also be held Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ in Goldsboro, NC.

Services have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
