Arthur Blackston

Mr. Arthur Blackston, 43, of 5220 Saint Mary's Church Road, Lucama, NC, passed away on September 30, 2018 .

The funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 7, 2018, 2:00 PM, at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.  a Public Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2018, 3:00 to 6:00 PM also at Stevens Funeral Home.

Arthur was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Lewis; his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Mary Ella Blackston; three uncles, Donnie Lewis, Randolph and Cleveland Lewis; two aunts, Lucy Lewis Hooker and Betty Jean Graham; cousin, Donnie "Don" Artis and niece, Tayla Bizzell.

He leaves many cherished memories to: his mother, Geraldine Lewis Alshamy (Tarek); his father, Arthur Ray Blackston, Sr.; three sisters, Cassandra Blackston (Terry), Michelle Blackston and Demetrise Blackston (Raymone); brothers, Wayne Bellamy, Marcello Gonzales and Monte Whitehead; a best friend since grade school who was like a brother, Otis Farr; eight nieces, Tierra Blackston, Shon Bradberry, Tiquana Bradberry, Jamya Blackston, Samarrah Johnson, Brook’Lyn Johnson, A’niyah Johnson and Charity Bizzell; four nephews, Devante Barnes, Shakka Blackston (Brittany), D’Andre Belton and Dontarius Batts; three great-nieces; four great-nephews; three uncles, Isaac Lewis, Charles Lewis and Robert Blackston; two aunts, Bettie Jean Graham and Patricia Blackston; special cousins, Pastor Stanley Artis and Mary H. Clay (Johnnie) and Terry Lewis; Nicole Boyce-Hinnant (Mario) who was like a sister; close and special friends, Donnie “Tom” Boykin, Angela Mercer-Lucas, Davita Allen, Desirelle Harris, Kimberly Clarke and Charles Sauls and a host of other relatives and friends.
