Mrs. Annie Ruth Hooker, 64, of 4908 Treeridge Road, Sims, NC, passed away on July 10, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center in Wilson, NC.
The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. Pastor Gray Hooker will deliver the eulogy.
Burial will follow in Becky Pate Cemetery in Lucama, NC.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the family receiving friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
Ms. Hooker was preceded in death by: her parents, Rebecca Barnes Blue and George Washington Barnes; two sisters, Mamie Blue Hooker and Lorene Blue; one brother, James Edward Blue and one nephew, Jeffery Antonio Hooker.
She leaves precious memories: to one daughter, April Hooker of Sims, NC; four sons, Morquise Hooker (Joycelyn) of Wilson, NC, Neil Hooker (Michelle) Rocky Mount, NC, Jermaine Hooker of Hollister, NC and Keyray Hooker (Bronica) of Sims, NC; one step son, David Hooker (Janie) Goldsboro, NC; two step daughters, Barbara Hooker and Diann Edwards (Frank) both of Goldsboro, NC; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Spells (James) of Wilson, NC, Melissa Price (Alvin) of Kenly, NC and Minnie Blue of Lucama, NC; three brothers, George Washington Blue Jr.(Joanne) of Lucama NC, Billy Blue (Remona) and Chris Blue both of Wilson, NC; six sisters-in-law, Dorothy Burns, Susan Hooker, Sabra Hooker, Linda Hooker and Teresa Hooker all of Wilson, NC, Julia Thompson of Rocky Mount, NC and Ethel Farmer of Elm City, NC; and a host of other nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 1:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
