Al Dutchmen Virgil Obituary

Mr. Al Dutchmen Virgil, 63, of 605 E. Main Street, Elm City, NC, passed away on April 12, 2018 at his home.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. Dr. Amanda Jones will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

Mr. Virgil was preceded in death by: his father, Al Smith Virgil and; three sisters, Patricia Taylor, Arnecia Virgil and Diane Virgil.

He leaves cherished memories to: his wife, of thirty nine years, Bonnie Virgil of the home; three daughters, Tarsha HInes and Latrise Hines of Wilson, NC and Tarsheka Hines of Elm City, NC; eight grandchildren, Adriadonias Hines, Jamika Ruffin, Montreal Crowell, Jilah Batts, Tahjma Atkinson, Christian Jones, Taniya Cotton and Al'moudjay HInes; two great grandchildren, Jori Hines and Nova Hines; his mother, Gladys Knight Virgil of Wilson, NC; four sisters, Gladys Ann Hill (Johnny), Carolyn Virgil and Maria Virgil all of Wilson, NC and Shelly Robinson of Elm City, NC; three brothers, Elbert Virgil (Linda) of Sharpsburg, NC, Dennis Virgil of Wilson, NC and Donald Virgil (Cindy) of Elm City, NC; mother-in-law, Sarah Hines of Wilson, NC; sister-in-law, Mary Hines of Fayetteville, NC; brother-in-law, David Hines, Jr. of Wilson, NC; special friends, Anthony "Spoke" Sharper; Robert Melton, Tim McGiver, Billy Gardner and Ray Chambers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives; and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
