Thelma W. Kennon

Ms. Thelma W. Kennon, 82, of 1201 Downing Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on September 13, 2017 at her residence.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 23,2017 at 1:00 pm at LN Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext, Wilson, NC. 

A public visitation will be held Friday, September 22, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Ms. Kennon was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Anglin, Sr and Lena Mae Wilson Davis; one sister, Daisy Anglin and two brothers, Leroy Wilson and Willie Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters, Linda Robinson, Margo Turner, Gwendolyn Turner and Theresa Ward all of Wilson, NC; three sons, Derrick Turner and Frederick Turner both of Cleveland, Ohio and Amos Turner III (Lym) of Wilson, NC; twenty four grandchildren; fifty eight great grandchildren; eight sisters, Annie (Thomas) Clayton, Doris Wilson, Janie McGirt, Annie (Ferris) Lewis, Angela (Rupert) Rodney, Betty (Paul) Jones, Mable (Donnell) Sanders and Laura (Troy) Myers; three brothers, Clarence (Verdell) Anglin, Johnny (Lucy) Wilson and Calvin (Brenda) Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends including, a special friends of the family, Willie James Williams.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession.
