Sadeeqah Jones Artis

Mrs. Sadeeqah  Renee Jones Artis, 28, of Stantonsburg, NC, passed away on November 15, 2017.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm at L N Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. Elder Roderick Ward will officiate and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Derrick Thompson.

Sadeequah leaves many loving memories to:  her husband, Steven Donnell Artis of the home; one son, Kyzir Donnell Artis of the home; one step-son, Nyjah Amir Artis of Wilson; her mother, Sandy Jones-Kent and her step-father, Hubert Kent, who loved her like a daughter; two brothers, William Saxton, III (fiancee' - Dee) of Wilson and Mustaffa Collins (Terrea) of PA;  three sisters, Qadriyyah Thompson, Shaquana Thompson Knightmore and Derika Thompson, all of VA; five step-sisters, Donna Webb (Bobby), Suzanne Pender (Jerry), Felicia Horne and Kimberly Ormond (Christopher), all of Wilson and Gloria Kelly Howard (Tony) of Raleigh; two step-brothers, Hubert Kent, Jr. and Lance Kent (Tabitha), both of Wilson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Christopher and Cheryl Williams of Stantonsburg; three sisters-in-law, Teresa Artis of Stantonsburg, Telisa Artis of Wilson and T.T. Pettaway of Walstonburg; two brothers-in-law, Terrell Bynum of Wilson and Lakendrick Pettaway of Walstonburg; A special great uncle who was like a grandfather to her, Lorenzo Rogers and Bonnie Bullock who was like a grandmother to her; three god-daughters, Aaliyana Bullock, Micaiyah Horne and Chamya Becton; special friends, Kountry Girlz and Kountry Boyz; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson,, NC
