Roy Lee Clay

Mr. Roy Lee Clay 82, of Wilson, NC, passed away on December 30, 2017 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Saint Paul Church of Christ, 4133 Frank Price Church Road, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Clay was preceded in death by his father, Willie Pete Applewhite; mother, Ollie Clay Barnes; three brothers, Johnnie Coley, Nathaniel Clay and Billy Jean Clay; two sisters, Josephine Clay and Doris Joyner; two sons, Pastor Joe Eatmon and James Evans; one grandson, Lavoris Ruffin; one aunt, Beatrice Bunch.

He leaves precious memories to:  his devoted friend, Annie Doris Ward of Wilson, NC; two stepsons, Robert Ward (Sebrina) of Wilson, NC and Greg Ward of Dallas, TX; two daughters-in-law, Eldress Beverly Eatmon and Nancy Evans, both of Wilson, NC; six grandchildren, Tanissa Eatmon, Joseph Eatmon, Christy Eatmon, Priscilla Evans, all of Wilson, NC, Bonita Evans and Nicole Evans, both of Raleigh, NC; one aunt, Eldress Mattie Clay of Wilson, NC; two nieces, Minister Teresa Clay and Tracey Joyner, both of Wilson, NC; three nephews, Timothy Clay, Nathaniel Clay and Damein Joyner; a host of cousins, other relatives and dear friends.

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
