Robert H. Clanton

Funeral services for Mr. Robert H Clanton, 71, of Rocky Mount, NC, will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 12:00 pm and will be held at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus, 1601 Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.  His son, Pastor Michael Clanton will deliver the Words of Comfort.

Mr. Clanton was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine Clanton Casson and two brothers, Jimmy Pittman and Wilbert Pittman.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his wife, Cora Clanton; three sons, Pastor Michael A. Clanton (Denise) of Bailey, NC, Robert Clanton Jr. (Sheremy)  of Raleigh, NC and Lamont Jones (Lakesha) of Enfield, NC; five daughters, Roblin Alston (Mike) of Rocky Mount, NC, Christal Clanton of Bunn, NC, LaShawn Dolby (Eric) of Raleigh, NC, Pamela Jones of Sharpsburg, NC and Carletta Pittman of Enfield, NC; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; one sister, JoAnn Pittman-Broadnax of Newark, DE; four sisters-in-law, Alberta Austin (O'Bryant) of Enfield, NC, Marjorie Hunter (Donald Lee) of Rocky Mount, NC, Ernestine Morgan of Sharpsburg, NC and Christine Boyd of Richmond, VA; two nephews, Reginald Pittman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Keith (Meagan) Pittman of DC metro; two nieces , Malissa Pittman of Jacksonville, FL and Tiffani Graham of Rock Hill, SC , and a host of other relatives and friends including two special neices, Kawanda Hill and Ebony Broadnax and one special nephew, Matthew Broadnax.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
