Reverend Faye Woodard

Assistant Pastor,  Faye Woodard, 62, of 4202-A Juniper Lane, Wilson, NC, passed away on October 12, 2016 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC.  The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2016 at 12 noon at L. N. Forbes O.F.W.B. Tabernacle, 1800 Lane St. Ext., Wilson, NC.   Her pastor, Dr. John Wooten will deliver the message and burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.  

The public viewing will be Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, NC. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ada Moline Barnes and Jasper Davis; one brother, Jasper Davis, Jr. and two sisters, Brenda Barnes and Cheryl Barnes Farmer.

Reverend Woodard leaves many loving and cherished memories to:  her children, Rashawn Jarmon of Wallace, NC, Tanisha McClendon of Raleigh, NC and Sheerah "Sandy" Neal of Port St. Lucie, FL;  two nieces whom she assisted in rearing, Alisha Barnes and Crystal Barnes, both of Wilson, eight grandchildren, Alexis McClendon, Nia Neal-Pearce, Ariyahna Faison, Tynisha Faison, DeShauna Faison, Alyssa Faison, Anthony Faison and Traveon McKinzie; her grandmother, Adeline Outlaw of Lewes, DE; two brothers, Willie Smiles of Wilson and Mark Davis (Leisa), all of Elm City; three sisters, Mary Melvin and Alphia Barnes (Donnie), all of Wilson and Lutisa Farmer of Manhattan, NY; one aunt, Gwen Hines of Bridgeville, DE; three uncles, James Speight (Margie) of Atlanta, GA, Freddie Hardy and Anthony Hardy, both of Lewes, DE; one great-aunt, Juanita Ames of Milton, DE; her extended family, Carol Hall, Peggy Tingle, Janet Pope (Robert), Robert Barnes (Gloria), James Barnes,  Al Langston (Sue), Donnie Barnes, Alton Langston (Vivian) and Tony Langston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr., Pkwy, Wilson, NC.
