Purvis Williams

Mr. Purvis Williams, 85, of 7164 US Highway 301, Lucama, NC. passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Wilmed Nursing Care Center in Wilson.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Deliverance Center, 408 E. Vance Street, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Williams and Sallie Freeman Williams; and one sister, Lottie Morgan.

He leaves cherished memories to: one son, Robert L. Cox, Jr. of Lucama; three daughters, Helen Lofton (Kenneth) of Wilson, NC, Yvonne Goodwin (Sean) of Kenly, NC, and Deborah Washington (Thaddeus) of Lucama, NC; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Lola Leach (Artis) of Angier, NC; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Harris (Marrion) of Baltmore, MD, and Annie Harris of Lucama, NC; one godchild, whom he assisted in rearing, Charmane Melvin of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the residence ,where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 noon for the funeral procession.
