Princess Kamiya Nevaeh Whitfield, of 644 Avon Ridge Lane, Grimesland, NC, passed away on April 14, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center.

Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, April 21, 2017 at Homestead Memorial Garden, 4251 E. 10th Street,Ext., Greenville, NC. Pastor Bobby Diggs will deliver the words of comfort.

Kamiya leaves many loving and cherished memories to: her parents Tyecha Newsome-Whitfield and Shepard Whitfield, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Tyrenecia Newsome and Andre Exum of Goldsboro, NC; paternal grandparents, Melody Whitfield and Shepard Whitfield, Sr. of Goldsboro, NC; paternal great-grandparents, Vickey Mitchell and Milford Mitchell, Jr., of Dudley, NC; maternal great-grandparents, Elder Aronual Diggs and Pastor Bobby Diggs, of Wilson, NC, Lynwood Batts (Jackie) of Dale City VA; maternal great-grandparents, Sherla Exum of Goldsboro, NC, Freddie Bynum (Dalphine) of Stantonsburg, NC; three aunts, Tacoya Newsome of Goldsboro, NC, Teandrea Newsome and Alexus Whitfield both of Greenville, NC; special cousin, Tyiere Bell; a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina.
