Pauline R. Artis

Mrs. Pauline R. Artis, 78, of 2221 Raleigh Road, Rocky Mount, NC,  passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2:00pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm also at Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Artis was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Ruffin and Sudie Crudup Ruffin; two brothers, J.B. Ruffin and Henry Ruffin; four sisters, Lena Eason, Almeta Sharpe, Alma Gray Harris and Betty Taylor.

She leaves cherished memories to: her husband, Zeb Artis of NY; one son, James Rasberry (Linda) of Wilson, NC; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one daughter, Brenda R. Butts of Wilson, NC; three brothers, Roosevelt Ruffin of Kenly, NC, Billy Ray Ruffin of Wilson, NC and Dan Ruffin of Sandiago, CA; three  sisters, Mary Ardell White (Sandy) of Walstonburg, NC,  Hilda Mayo of Wilson, NC and Diane Merritt (Theodore) of Lake Gaston, VA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
