Nettie Elizabeth Barnes

Mrs. Nettie Elizabeth Barnes, 104, of 8621  Eagles Cross Road, Walstonburg,  NC, passed away on May 15, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Saint James Christian Church, 1739-B Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Garden , 4965 US Highway 258 N., Farmville, NC. 

A public visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

A wake service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm also at Saint James Christian Church, 1739-B Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC

Mrs. Barnes leaves cherished memories to: six sons, Levi Barnes, Jr. of East Orange, NJ, Willie Earl Barnes of Hillside, NJ, David Barnes of Walstonburg, NC, Lawrence Barnes of Hampton, VA, William Barnes of Las Vegas, Nevada and Orlando Barnes of Lanham, MD; one adopted son, Carson Fields of Wilson, NC; two daughters, Mary Woodard  of Bowie, MD and Evelyn Shirl Clegg of Raleigh, NC.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 10:00 am in preparation for the funeral procession.
