Mrs. Emma Lee Manning, 73, of 506 Parkview Street W., Wilson, NC, passed away on December 9, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12:00 pm at Contending For The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm with the family present from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm to meet and greet family and friends.

Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Manning, Sr; two grandchildren. Dorian and Jocelyn; her father, Walter Lee Parker; two sisters, Hilda Woodard, and Patricia Robinson; two brothers, Bobby Parker and Duncan Ziegler.

She leaves cherished memories to: her mother, Minister Erma Dean Ziegler of Stantonsburg, NC; one son, Walter Lee Manning, Jr. (LaTonya) of Wilson, NC; five daughters, Valarie Parker (Jerome), Sharron Smith (Donald) , Lakisha Manning, and Latoria Manning all of Wilson, NC, and Emma G. Manning (Brennett) of Elm City, NC; fourteen grandchildren, Letavious, Ruby, Judah, Shamekia, Terri, Montrell, Melysha, Stephanie, Jessica, Adrienne, Makayla, Byonka, Sydnee, and Princess; four great grandchildren, Myracle, Jordyn, Carter, and Lamor;  four sisters, Eldress Louvenia Butts, Minister Gail Boykin (Larry), Shelia Harris, and Angela Parker; eleven brothers, Minister Thomas Allen Ziegler, Craig Ziegler, Bishop Walter Parker (Julia), Johnny Parker, Larry Parker (Ruth), Marvin Parker (Debra), Bobby Whitley (Gloria), and Allen Whitley (Darlene), James Harris (Pam), John Harris, and Walter Harris (Daisy); four sisters-in-law, Pastor Diane Sauls, Margie Taylor, Helen Foreman, and Nancy Manning; two special friends, Annie Mae Vaughn and Jerome Boykin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
