Mrs. Bettie Jean Johnson

Mrs. Bettie Jean Johnson, 67, of 506 Granger Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on, August, 22, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm at St. Rose Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 605 S. Douglas Street, Wilson, NC.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A wake service will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Nehemiah Johnson and her parents, David Lee Lucas and Stella Tabron Lucas.

She leaves many cherished memories to: one son, Stacey Johnson (Yasmina) of Elizabeth City, NC; two daughters, Paula Thompson (Kenneth) of Wilson, NC and Stella Johnson (Robert) of Farmville, NC; seven grandchildren, Lakeshia Johnson, Montavias Bynum, Chiquita Bynum, LaDarris Johnson, Kyiesha Johnson, Naomie Johnson and Stacey Johnson, Jr.; six grandchildren, Zyiere Carter, Jamel Neal, II, Kyler Bynum, Kali Johnson, Kylie Johnson and Mason Bynum; four brothers, Sidney Lucas (Brenda) and Jacob Lucas (Sandra) both of Elm City, NC, Joseph Lucas (Mamie) of Lucama, NC and Luther Donnie Lucas (Dorothy) of Wilson, NC; one sister, LaVerne Jones (Paul) of Rocky Mount, NC; one aunt, Bloomer Webb of Wilson County, NC; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Scott (Mike) and Minnie Riggins both of MD; one brother-in-law, Naaman Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, the Best Family, Mavis Edmundson, Pattie Barnes, Wanda Ellis and Community Home Care Hospice of Wilson, NC.
