Mr. LeVern Baines

Mr. LeVern Baines, 62, of 2206 Imperial Avenue East, Wilson, NC, passed away on October 13, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for  Friday, October 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 519 Singletary Street, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Eastern Chapel, 1401 N. Carolina Street, Goldsboro,  NC.

A second public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Baines was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Roy Baines and Martha Chambers Baines and one sister, Sheila D. Brown.

He leaves many cherished memories to: his loving wife, Carolyn J. Baines of the home; five sons,Vanderbilt Johnson  and Carl Johnson of the home, Eric Ellis(Amanda) ,Derrick Ellis and Frederick Ellis (friend, Linda Barnes),  all of Wilson, NC; two daughters, Sequoya Burden (friend, Tony Martin) and Nisey King (Chester) both of Goldsboro, NC; twenty grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Vick (Doug) of Wilson, NC and Barbara Baines of Hackensack, NJ; three sisters-in-law, Velma White (Russell) of Rural Hall, NC, Sheala King (John) of Brooklyn, NY and Edna Goines (Greg) of Graham, NC; two aunts, Maggie Oliver of Philadelphia, PA and Mary Ellis of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including two special cousins, Ronnie Anderson and Robert Blackston. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
