Mr. L.V. Barnes

Mr. L.V. Barnes, 61, of Wilson, North Carolina, passed away on February 9, 2018.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Wilson Chapel FWB Church, 518 East Barnes Street, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther KIng, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by his parents, James Barnes and Addie Mae Moody Barnes; one sister, Alfreda Barnes and one brother, James A. Barnes.

He leaves many cherished memories to: his wife, Venetta McNeil-Barnes; three sons, Joseph Barnes of Camp Carroll, Korea, Jalen Barnes of Wilson, NC and Nathaniel Wright of Norfolk, VA; one daughter, Evangeline McNeil of Wilson, NC; one granddaughter, Stephanie Boynton; four brothers, James Earl Barnes, William Barnes (JoAnn), Bobby Ray Barnes (Debbie) and Pernell Barnes all of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr., Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina.
