Minnie Ruth Thomas

Mrs. Minnie Ruth Thomas, 70, of 703 Harper Street, E., Wilson, NC passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Wilson Medical Center, Wilson, NC. 

The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, December  22, 2017 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alberta Hines; six brothers and three sisters.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Thomas leaves many cherished memories to: her husband, Tony "Bud" Thomas of the home; one daughter, PamThomas (Richard)  of Camden, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Erica Minne Hines and Bryshone Hines both of New Jersey; one sister, Hattie Parker (Ernest ) of Wilson, NC; three brothers, Willie T. Hines (Alva) and  Frank Hines (Bernice) all of Maryland and Raymond Hines (Shirley) of New York; one brother-in-law, James Thomas; a special friend, who was like a brother to her, Javier Roman of New Jersey; two special nephews, Fredrick Mitchell of Walstonburg, NC and Dyrus Hines of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Ernest and Hattie Parker, 1726 Meadow Brook Lane Wilson, NC where they will assemble on Friday in preparation for the funeral procession.
