Mrs. Mary Lena Rouse Ward, 86, of 401 Applewhite Avenue, Stantonsburg, NC passed Friday, January 13, 2017 at Doctor's Community Hospital in Lanham, MD.

The Funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017 @ 1:00 pm at Life In The Word Ministries, 3677 US Highway 301 N, Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy., Wilson, North Carolina.

Mrs. Ward leaves cherished memories to: four daughters,  Ethel Carter of District heights, MD, Linda Ward-King (Oscar) of Bristow, VA, Bernice Sharpe of Wilson, NC and Jeanette Ward Darden ()Eric) of Upper Marlboro, MD; two sons, Thurman Ward (Brenda) of Wilson, NC and Donnie Ward of Stantonsburg, NC; ten Grandchildren, Angela (Amos), Tyrone (Kimaka), Kenya, Lawrence (Loana), Willis Duane, DeAngelo, Tiffany, Asis, Paris, and Elyssa Mary; twelve great grandchildren, Jasmin, Roman, Tyree, Diamonique, Jared, Terryon, Tyra, Justin, Ayannah, Olivia, Omari and Layla; One sister, Estella Maye of Norfolk, VA; sister-in-law, Ruth Hall of Stantonsburg, NC; brother-in-law, Wade Charles of Raleigh, NC; a host of nieces, nephews,cousins,aunts, uncles,other relatives and friends.
