Kenneth Lee "Frog" Lewis

June 9, 1958 ~ June 22, 2016 (age 58) 58 Years Old

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ, 1601 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.  The committal services will follow in the St. Delight Cemetery, Walstonburg, NC.

Kenneth Lee Lewis,, affectionately known as Frog,  was born on June 9, 1958 in Wilson County, North Carolina to son of the now late Eddie Lewis and Gertie Mae Joyner Lewis He departed this earthly life on June 22, 2016 while being surrounded by his loving family.

 “Frog”, as Kenneth was affectionately known was reared and educated in Wilson County and attended Wilson County School      System. He was also a devoted member of Leventon Chapel O.F.W.B under the leadership of Elder Elbert Forbes.

Frog was a people person, with a genuine concern for others. He loved to fellowship with family and friends.  Frog was also known to have a big heart and he never met a stranger. He loved those dear to him and simply adored his role as “Pa Pa”.

Kenneth was also a very hard worker.  He was employed for many years in various careers, including Farming, Keystone Bumper and over 18 years with Alton Box Co.  Whether Frog was at work or not you could always find him doing something with his hands.  He loved staying busy.

Along with his parents Kenneth was preceded in death by four siblings;  Sheila Lewis, Mae Frances Greene Hall, Charles Greene and Danny Lewis.

Kenneth leaves cherished memories to his loving wife of sixteen years;  Mrs. Deborah Melvin Lewis of Fremont, NC; one stepson, Ernest Earl Melvin (Alicia) of Wilson, NC; one grandson, who was reared in the home, Jeffery Sauls; one  granddaughter, Zyanna Sauls of Wilson, NC; seven step  grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; five brothers, Richard Earl Green (Jeanine), Eddie Lee Joyner, Frank D. Lewis (Patricia) and John M. Lewis (Van) all of Wilson, NC and Larry Boykin (Gail) of  Stantonsburg, NC; one   sister, Barbara A. Boone (Larry) of   Clinton, NC; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Lewis of Mebane, NC and Jacqueline Coley (MacArthur) of Wilson, NC; three brothers-in-law, Wayne Harris, Ervin Harris (Joyce) and Herman  Harris (Virginia) all of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces,  nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special niece, Talisha Hall, whom he assisted in rearing.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
