Henry Avery Eatmon, Sr.

Mr. Henry Avery Eatmon, Sr., 69, of 2403 Trull Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on August 25, 2016 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC.  

The funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at L N Forbes OFWB Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Artis Family Cemetery in Stantonsburg, NC.  A public visitation will be held also on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.

Mr. Eatmon was preceded in death by his parents, Adie Eatmon and Geneva Hart Eatmon; five brothers, Eddie Eatmon, Garland "Pete" Eatmon, James Otis Eatmon, Hubert Eatmon and Harold Richards; six sisters, Rosa Frost, Christine Austin, Thelma Eatmon Taylor, Geraldine Eatmon, Frances Eatmon and Artistine Lucas.

He leaves cherished memories to: his loving and devoted wife, Velma Forbes Eatmon of the home;  three sons, Tony Lucas (London) of Simpsonville, SC, Pervis Lucas of Raleigh, NC and Henry Avery Eatmon, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Stephanie Forbes Davis (Kevin) of Wendell, NC; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Eatmon  (Phylistine) of Wilson, NC; three brothers-in-law, Elder Elbert M. Forbes (Cheryl) and Lafan Forbes (Cindy Lu), all of Wilson, NC and Moses Forbes, Jr (Sarah) of Stantonsburg, NC; four sisters-in-law, Glacie Winslow of Stantonsburg, NC, Linda Forbes Williams (Michael), Burnell Forbes, Linda Eatmon and Addie Eatmon, all of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including two very special friends, Kenny and Annie Blackwell.

The family will receive friends at the home at all times and will assemble there on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
