Georgiana (Barnes) Ellis

Mrs. Georgiana Ellis, 99, of 506 Lee Street, Wilson, NC, passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at Contending For The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Jones and her second husband John Ellis; one daughter, Lois Faye Jones Taylor;  one son, George Edward Jones; three grandchildren, Les Taylor, Nelson Taylor and Sandra Taylor Shaw; two brothers, Jasper Barnes and Milton Barnes; and two sisters, Bertha Taylor and Esther Connor.

She leaves precious memories to: five grandchildren, George Taylor, Denise Taylor Farmer (James), Cynthia Taylor, Lesia Taylor Davis (Mark) and Jennifer Boarem all of Wilson, NC; eighteen great grandchildren;  twenty eight great great grandchildren; one sister, Allie Bridgers of Wilson, NC; three brothers, James Barnes (Paulette) of Arizona, Alvin Barnes (Lillie)  and Douglas Barnes (Doris) of New York, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the residence, where they will assembel on Friday at 10:00 am in preparation for the funeral procession.
