Genevieve Barnes Hall

Mrs. Genevieve Barnes Hall, 74, of Alexandria City, VA, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Alexandria, VA.

The funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Barnes Chapel Missionary Church, 1004 Railroad Street, Wilson, NC.

Mrs. Hall leaves to cherish her sweet memories: four beautiful children – Evelyn L. Barnes and Tony D. Barnes of Newark, NJ, Roy Melorie Hall, of Roselle, NJ, and Maidah S. Hall of Alexandria, VA and one daughter-in-law, Valerie Hurling-Hall of Roselle, NJ.  She also leaves behind her sister, Hiawatha Barnes, of Wilson, NC and her brothers, Edward (Bud) Barnes of Wilson, NC and Jerome Barnes of New Haven, Connecticut as well as her nieces and nephews, Sylvester (Mark) Barnes, Melodie Barnes, Keisha Barnes, Tawanna Barnes, Jerome Barnes Jr., and Colby Barnes.  Affectionately known as “Noonie”, Genevieve was beloved by her eight grandchildren – Kawatha, Jamere, Nazeeke, Ronny, Airika, Sheyanna, Deondre and Anray and her eight great grandchildren Maia, Jamere Jr, Liani, Jordan, Janella, Olivia, Reyanna, and Isabella.  She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family friends, who care for her deeply and will relish her memory forever.
