Frederick Dew Jr

Mr. Frederick Dew, 40, of 1814 Manchester Street, Wilson, North Carolina passed on January 19, 2017. The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel , 1820 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, Wilson, North Carolina.  Apostle Maurice Garrett will deliver the Words of Comfort.

Fredrick Washington Dew Jr. was born November 1, 1976 in Norfolk, Virginia to Fredrick and Carthina Dew.  His transitioned to his eternal life on January 19, 2017 in Wilson, North Carolina.

Freddie as he was affectionately known began receiving his formal education in the Wilson County School System and earned his trade certificate in brick mason.

Freddie was a well-known person who would always stop, laugh and talk to you wherever he would see you.  Freddie would call his sister, Terri, everyday, sometimes five times a day just to talk, laugh and talk about his children, nieces and nephews.  He always talked about his cousins in Norfolk and Fayetteville. 

Before Freddie’s transition, he went to Fayetteville to visit his aunt and cousins and had a wonderful time with them.  He simply loved family.

Freddie was preceded in death by his mother, Carthina Dew and his uncle, Jesse Parker II.

He leaves  precious and cherished memories to his father, Fredrick Dew Sr. of the home; two son’s, Jahrighteous and Jahtrell Edmonds both of Wilson, NC; one sister, Teri Dew Bookman (Calvin) of Wilson, NC; one niece, Ashlee Dew Simmons of Wilson, NC; one nephew, Patrick Dew (Cierra)  of Wilson, NC; his special great-nieces and nephews, Zymirion Fagan, Zaria Dew, Patrick Dew Jr., Jamierra Bryant, Terrule Dew and Armonnie Pearce all of Wilson, NC; and a very close cousin, Paulette Parker of Washington, DC and a host of aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
