Elder Phenia Mae Evans Stevens

Elder Phenia Mae Evans Stevens, 82, of 7623 Brame Road, Kenly, NC, passed away on October 6, 2015 at Wilson Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 1:30 pm at Saint Rose Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 605 S. Douglas Street, Wilson, NC.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Elder Stevens was preceded in death by: her husband, Deacon Leon Stevens;  her parents, Sam Evans and Phenia Reid Evans; five brothers, Sam Evans, William Evans, Floyd Evans, L.D. Evans, and Frank Evans; four sisters, Mary Kornegay, Mable Whitley, Irene Artis, and Alene Coley.

She leaves many cherished memories to: one daughter, Gail Stevens (John) of Kenly, NC; three grandchildren, John M. Kelly, Jovon Kelly and Briana Williams all of Kenly, NC; three great grandchildren, Jah'mari Kelly, and Aniyah Kelly both of Kenly, NC, and  Jah'mere Kelly of Lucama, NC; one God-daughter, Christine Hinnant of Bailey, NC, who was very special to her; one sister, Willie B. Pitt (Troy) of Baltimore, MD; one sister-in-law, Gladys Evans of Wilson, NC;  two brothers-in law, Joe Stevens (Trish) of Wilson, NC, and George Stevens (Gloria) of Durham, NC;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
