Brenda Gray Dawes

Mrs. Brenda Gray Dawes, 70, of 5024 Curve Road, Elm City, NC, passed away on September 11, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC. 

A public visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Dawes was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Ford and Leona Reid Ford; one sister, Mable Ford Boddie and two brothers, Roscoe Ford and Ervin Ford.

She leaves many cherished memories to: her husband, David Earl Dawes, II of the home; one son, David Earl Dawes, III of the home; one sister, Van Dora Lucas of Rocky Mount, NC; one brother-in-law, Marvin Sharpe (Paulette) of Wilson, NC; two sisters-in-law, Helen Hines (Bernard) of Washington, DC and Diane Sharpe of Dallas, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 noon in preparation for the funeral procession.
