Bettie Batts Chambers

Ms. Bettie Batts Chambers, 65, of 2712 Forest Hills Road, Wilson, NC, passed away on September 12, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street, Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm also at Stevens Funeral Home. 

Ms. Chambers was preceded in death by her parents, Weldon Batts and Bettie Mae Vick Batts and two brothers, Rooney Batts and Lynwood Batts. 

She leaves cherished memories to: one daughter, Victoria Vick of Wilson, NC; three grandchildren, Aaliyah Surrett, Malaysia Vick and Seriyah Vick all of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Frances Ruffin (Charles), Katrina Weaver (Willie) and Emma Batts all of Wilson, NC; five brothers, Weldon Batts (Barbara), Larry Batts (Brenda), Isaac Batts (Sharon), Jimmy Lewis (Maxine) and Jerry Batts (Mary) all of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the home where they will assemble at 10:00 am on Tuesday in preparation for the funeral procession. 

Arrangements are by Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.
