Alice Lavon Rogers Watson

Ms. Alice "Von" Rogers Watson, 66, of 904-A Corbett Avenue, Wilson, NC, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2016.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Contending for The Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, NC. Burial will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden, Lane Street Ext., Wilson, NC.

A public visitation will be held on Friday, April, 29, 2016 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Stevens Funeral Home, 1820 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC.

Alice was preceded in death by her father, James Rogers and two sisters, Bessie McCallister and Carolyn Rogers Tyson.

Ms. Watson leaves cherished memories to: one son, Keith Leonard Watson (Audrey) of Hyattsville, MD; one daughter, Kelly Rogers Barnes (Paul) of Wilson, NC; four grandchildren, Marquita Rogers, Chretwon Rogers, Jasmine Barnes and Kourtney Watson;  seven great grandchildren, Raleek Hinnant, Jaimire Rogers, Bianca Batts, Jah'Kavion Sweet, Brian Batts, TaKhoria Watson and ZaLija Braswell; her mother, Mrs. Callie McCallister Rogers; two brothers, Lenny Rogers and Timothy Rogers (Ann) both of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Tillie Isler, Brenda Rogers Dew (Robert) and Joyce Rogers all of Wilson, NC; one uncle, Lester Rogers (Betty) of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends at the home of Kelly and Paul Barnes at 610 Fairfax Avenue, Wilson, NC where they will assemble on Saturday at 12:00 pm in preparation for the funeral procession.
